At Environmental Remedies, we believe safety is a top priority. Read on to learn more about our commitment to safety below.

Key Safety Practices at Environmental Remedies

To ensure we’re conducting matters in the safest manner possible, Environmental Remedies is a Georgia Certified Drug & Alcohol-Free workplace. Our employees undergo First Aid training and CPR training sponsored by the American Red Cross. On top of this, we hold monthly meetings with all employees to discuss safety protocol and include safety execution in every employee’s performance review. At our home base, we undergo regular safety and environmental internal auditing. Each project we undertake has site-specific Job Hazard and Safety Analysis. Random Site Safety inspections are conducted by our full-time Health and Safety Coordinator. We are also members of ISNetworld and Avetta.

Like any physically demanding job, accidents can happen. We place utmost importance on our response to accidents or near-misses to decrease the likelihood of a repeat occurrence.  In case of an accident or near miss, Environmental Remedies starts at the root and conducts an investigation with documentation of corrective measures. If a member of our team deems a site or project to be unsafe, Environmental Remedies authorizes Stop Work Authority to all employees.

Fleet Safety Practices

For those unfamiliar, fleet safety is a program that institutes safety practices and procedures to meet compliance requirements. At Environmental Remedies, our fleet safety practices start before hiring. Environmental Remedies employs only experienced drivers to ensure road safety.

Once onboarded, all employees take monthly driver safety training and drivers have Lytx drive cameras installed in their vehicles.  Environmental Remedies conducts MVR checks bi-annually as well as random drug and alcohol screens. Each quarter, we administer preventative maintenance on every unit to certify that everything is running properly.

Key Employee Training Programs

At Environmental Remedies, we offer many safety training programs to our staff. These range from Fire Protection to Fall Protection to Hazard Communication and Analysis.  In order for our employees to be prepared in case of an accident or near miss, we offer Accident, Incident, & Near Miss Protocol training. We use programs such as Confined Space Entry & Rescue so our employees can anticipate and act on any potential incidents. As well, staff undergo Emergency Action Plan training and are equipped with Personal Protective Equipment so they are as physically prepared as they are mentally.

Our Dedication to Safety

No one should have to worry about their safety when walking into the workplace. By preparing our team for a variety of potential hazards, it is our hope that Environmental Remedies’ staff has the procedural knowledge to tackle any potential mishaps at home base or on site.
